Directing

Directing on film is something I’m looking to do more of. I thrive on the pressure between keeping on message, ensuring the tech delivers, whilst working with the talent and trying to keep it all on time.

On stage, its all about the rehearsal process. When you are in that room, the world floats away, and its the people in the room experimenting, and then when the actors go on stage, you’re powerless to do any more, so just sit back and watch them work their magic.

Theatre Directing:
‘Some are Meant to Sit’ by Earl T Roske (USA) staring Maree Barnett and Katherine Halliday for Short&Sweet Melbourne 2010
‘Staff Development’ by Faith de Savigne, starring Alexandra Deville, Damien Noyce, Mary-Ann Halpin, and Nick Logan

Film directing:
The Postcard – a 7minute short film for Tropfest 2009 and the first short film I directed.
