I used to hate public speaking. It’s a pretty standard human condition.
Then I did acting lessons at Darlo Drama.
Simple techniques were taught like breathing, voice warm-ups, and posture.
Acting on stage also teaches you preparation, discipline, knowing your subject inside out.
As Viocorp grew, so did our requests to speak about live streaming and online video at events. Speaking in public is now something I enjoy.

Although YouTube is the second largest search engine and the average Australian spends over 1hr every week on YouTube alone, online video only attracted 4% of display advertising in Q3 2009.. This month we bring together Simon Goodrich from Portable Content, Suzie O’Carroll from YouTube & Nick Bolton of Viocorp to discuss why the advertising dollars aren’t following the audience, how marketers are doing it right and how Australians are consuming the medium.
